Assistant Program Manager

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Assistant Program Manager to join their client's team. This role is essential in providing comprehensive support to the program's operations and ensuring a high standard of care and service for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program Understanding & Assistance:
    • Provide classroom and job site training and instruction to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as outlined by Individual Service Plan and essential direct care services.
    • Assist staff and consumers in understanding the goals and services outlined in the Program Design.
    • Aid the Program Manager in the daily operation of the program.
  • Curriculum Development & Scheduling:
    • Review and develop age-appropriate curriculum for all program participants and update program scheduling.
    • Assist in the daily operation of all facets of programming and in developing instructor daily schedules, including updating the master schedule for the program.
  • Operational Support:
    • Assist the Program Manager in defining staff roles and locations for consumer training and activities.
    • Assist Program Manager and Case Managers with case records, data collection, and log notes related to consumer training. Maintain a caseload of their own.
    • Coordinate consumer and staff lunch schedules as needed.
  • Implementation & Compliance:
    • Assist in the implementation of consumer plans.
    • Ensure staffing ratios are met as required by Program Design and CCL.
    • Maintain assessment procedures, timelines, and instruments, explaining their applicability in assessing consumer needs.
    • Maintain consumer grievance procedures.
    • Supervise work sites under the guidance of the Program Manager.
    • Maintain consumer files, confidentiality, and ensure folders are up to date.
    • Ensure all programs meet San Diego Regional Center standards and other applicable requirements.
  • Training & Intake:
    • Assist in training new staff as needed.
    • Aid in the intake process for new consumers.
    • Conduct facility tours for consumers and staff as needed.
  • Case Management & Supervision:
    • Ensure program instructors maintain consumers' functional skills, self-advocacy, employment training, community integration, self-care, and social recreation as required by program design.
    • Ensure case managers meet all deadlines for coordinating consumer and staff lunch schedules as needed.
    • Meet at least annually with ID team members and program participants to update schedules and ensure instructors are informed of all changes. This includes leading, typing, and observing these meetings.
  • Reporting & Safety:
    • Report all accidents/injuries in writing, including all suspected adult abuse, discrimination, or harassment.
    • Supervise consumers effectively with regard to safety.
    • Maintain awareness of consumer rights at all times.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Perform other tasks as required and directed by the Programs Manager and/or Director of Programs to meet program guidelines and safety.
    • Work in classrooms and in the community when required due to staffing shortages for participants' health and safety.
    • Act as Program Manager in the absence of the Manager.

Requires

  • Certifications required are CPR and First Aid.
  • Education requirement is an AA degree.
